- 4 salmon steaks
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] Dijon mustard
- 3 tablespoons [45 mL] dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] water
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Roasted sesame seeds, to serve

- Mix together Dijon mustard, dark brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil and water.
- Preheat barbecue to medium heat.
- Brush salmon steaks with olive oil; salt and pepper.
- Arrange salmon steaks over hot barbecue rack; brush salmon steaks with half of Dijon mustard mixture.
- Barbecue salmon steaks for 5 minutes.
- Delicately turn salmon steaks over.
- Brush salmon steaks with remaining Dijon mustard mixture; barbecue for 5 minutes more.
- Serve salmon steaks immediately, sprinkled with roasted sesame seeds.
