- 2 thick medium-lean ground beef patties
- 1 large sesame seed hamburger bun
- 3 lettuce leaves
- 2 slices yellow or white Cheddar cheese
- 2 slices red onion
- 4 tomato slices
- 2 slices dill pickle, cut lengthwise
- Fried bacon slices, to taste
- Cherry tomato, to serve

- Preheat barbecue.
- Grill ground beef patties over really charcoals until done to taste.
- Towards the end of grilling time, half hamburger bun thickwise; toast halves over hot barbecue rack.
- To serve, arrange a lettuce leaf over lower half of hamburger bun.
- Top lettuce leaf with one of ground beef patties, then with a slice of Cheddar cheese, a slice of red onion, a lettuce leaf and 2 tomato slices.
- Repeat layers.
- Top tomato slices with long dill pickle slices, then with fried bacon slices.
- Top with remaining top half of hamburger bun.
- Serve hamburger immediately, decorated with a cherry tomato.
