Ground Lamb Patties

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup [250 mL] mild smoked barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] any mixed meat, vegetable... or popcorn enhancing spices
  • 2 pounds [900 g] ground lamb
  • Preheat barbecue to medium intensity.
  • Into a large bowl, mix together beaten egg, mild smoked barbecue sauce, rolled oats, milk, garlic salt and mixed enhancing spices.
  • Add ground lamb and well mix together all ingredients.
  • Shape mixture into 1/2-inch [1.3-cm] thick patties.
  • Grill directly over medium embers for 10 to 13 minutes turning patties at half time, until a meat thermometer indicates 160°F [71°C].
