Jalapeno Chicken Wings

  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] Jalapeno sauce
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] vegetable oil
  • 2 pounds [1 kg] chicken wings
  • 1 large zipper storage bag
Jalapeno Dipping Sauce
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] catsup
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] Jalapeno sauce
  • Into a small bowl, combine Jalapeno sauce, lime juice and oil; set aside.
  • Cut chicken wings at joints; discard tips.
  • Transfer wings into a zipper storage bag.
  • Pour in jalapeno mixture.
  • Zip top closed, removing excess air.
  • Turn bag over several times to well coat chicken pieces.
  • Marinate for 3 hours or overnight, refrigerated, turning bag occasionally.
  • Preheat barbecue to medium intensity.
  • Remove wings from bag, reserving marinade.
  • Grill wings for 20 to 30 minutes, turning and basting often with reserved marinade.
  • Discard any remaining marinade.
  • Meanwhile, mix together Jalapeno dipping sauce ingredients [catsup and Jalapeno sauce].
  • Serve wings, along with dipping sauce.
