Patties
- 1 pound [454 g] ground chicken
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] salt
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] grated lemon rind
- 1 garlic clove, minced
Sauce
- 1 cup [250 mL] plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] freshly chopped parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
To serve
- 4 pita breads
- 2 cups [500 mL] lettuce strips

Patties
- Mix together ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, oregano, paprika, lemon rind and garlic clove.
- Shape into 4 patties [approximately 4 inches / 10 cm in diameter and 3/4-inch / 2-cm thick].
- Barbecue until no longer pink inside.
Sauce
- Mix together yogurt, mayonnaise, parlsey, salt and garlic.
To Serve
- Open-up pita breads into pockets.
- Fill each pocket with 1 chicken pattie; coat pattie with sauce and garnish with lettuce strips.
