- 2 [2 1/2-pound / 1.13-kg each] chickens
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Marinade
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed and minced
- 3 tablespoons [45 mL] olive oil
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] tomato paste
- 1/4 cup [60 mL] hot chicken broth
- Few drops Worcestershire sauce
- Juice of 1 lime
- Paprika, to taste
- Salt and pepper, to taste

- Preheat barbecue to medium intensity.
- Into a bowl, thoroughly mix together all marinade ingredients.
- Half chickens; brush chicken halves with marinade.
- Salt and pepper.
- Arrange chicken halves over hot charcoals, onto barbecue rack; barbecue for 8 minutes.
- Turn chicken halves; brush with marinade.
- Barbecue for 8 minutes more.
- Brush chicken halves with more marinade, and babecue for 25 to 35 minutes more.
