- 1/2 pound [227 g] butter
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] ketchup
- 2 [9-ounce / 255-mL each] bottles prepared horseradish
- Juice of 3 lemons
or 1 cup [250 mL] lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
- 1/2 tablespoon [7.5 mL] Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] hot pepper sauce [optional]

- Into a stainless steel saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
- Mix in cider vinegar, ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, salt, Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce.
- Simmer, uncovered, for 20 to 25 minutes to blend flavors.
