- 1 pound [454 g] fresh shrimps, shelled and veins removed
- 1 1/4 cups [310 mL] any spicy Thaļ sauce
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] olive oil
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] freshly peeled and chopped ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Vegetable or olive oil

- Into a platic bag with a zipper, mix together spicy Thaļ sauce, olive oil, freshly chopped ginger and minced garlic.
- Add prepared shrimps; leave to marinate, refrigerated for at least 1 hour, but no more than 5 hours.
- Preheat barbecue to high intensity.
- Using a metal brush, lightly coat hot barbecue rack with vegetable or olive oil then arrange shrimps onto barbecue rack.
- Barbecue shrimps turning only once, until no longer translucent and just curled [time varies according to the size of the shrimps].
- Be careful not to overcook shrimps !
- Arrange shrimps onto a serving plat and serve, along with or already pricked with toothpicks.
