Easy Mexican-Style Salsa

Comments: Prepare 1 hour before serving so that flavors can blend.
Serve along with triangular nachos.

  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled and stoned
  • 2 cups [500 mL] mild salsa
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] sour cream
  • 2 or 3 drops lemon juice
  • 1 pack taco seasonings
  • White and yellow Cheddar cheese, grated
  • Sliced stuffed olives, to taste
  • Puree avocado meat; spread over a plate.
  • Cover with plastic wrap.
  • Into a bowl, combine salsa, mayonnaise, sour cream and lemon juice.
  • Uncover avocado puree; spread salsa mixture over avocado puree.
  • Lightly sprinkle all over with taco seasonings, being careful not to sprinkle too much.
  • Top all over with grated cheeses; garnish with stuffed olive slices.
  • Refrigerate.
