- 8 slices rye bread
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup [60 mL] minced onion
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] chopped parsley
- 8 slices Swiss cheese

- Toast rye bread slices in a toaster.
- Remove crusts; cut each slice into 4 squares.
- Mix together mayonnaise, minced onion and chopped parsley.
- Spread mixture over bread squares.
- Cut each slice of cheese into 4 squares.
- Top each square of bread with a square of cheese.
- Broil under preheated oven for 2 to 4 minutes, until melted.
