Deep-Fried Won Ton Noodles

Comments: Serve these noodles hot, with a prune sauce.
  • Peanut oil
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 medium-size onion, chopped
  • 2 ounces [60 g] ground pork
  • 2 ounces [60 g] chopped shrimps
  • 1 carrot, cut into small strips
  • 1 sweet pepper, cut into very small dices
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] freshly chopped coriander
  • 1 tablespoon [15 g] sugar
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] sliced green onions
  • Won Ton noodles dough, cut into squares
  • Oil for deep-frying
  • Into hot peanut oil, brown together chopped garlic and onion.
  • Mix in ground pork, chopped shrimps, carrot strips, sweet pepper dices, chopped coriander and sugar.
  • Brown until ground pork is no longer pink.
  • Spoon a little pork/shrimp mixture onto half of Won Ton dough square.
  • Top with remaining dough squares and secure by pressing all around.
  • Deep-fry noodles into hot oil until golden.
  • Serve.
