Cheese and Chive Rounds

Servings: 45 round melba toasts
  • 1 [8-ounce / 227-g] package mild Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] light sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL]
    2% milk
  • 3 tablespoons [45 mL] freshly snipped chives
  • 45 round melba toasts
  • Toasted sesame seeds
  • Sweet red pepper tiny dices
  • Snipped chives
  • Into a food processor, combine shredded cheese, sour cream and milk; process until quite smooth.
  • Stir in snipped chives.
  • Spread teaspoonfuls [5 mL] cheese mixture onto melba toasts.
  • Broil under preheated broiler for 1 minute, until cheese melts.
  • Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
  • Garnish with tiny sweet red pepper dices and snipped chives.
  • Serve immediately.
