Fresh Pear Blue Cheese Tarts
  • 1 [2 1/10-ounce / 60-g] pack tart phyllo pastry shells
  • 1 ripe pear
  • 4 ounces [113 g] Blue cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] light cream
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Bake pastry shells into preheated oven according to packaging instructions.
  • Leave pastry shells to cool completely.
  • Leave oven at 350°F [180°C].
  • Peel, core and chop pear.
  • Into a bowl, mix together Blue cheese crumbs, chopped pear éand cream.
  • Season mixture to taste with freshly ground black pepper.
  • Evenly fill cooled tart shells with mixture.
  • Bake filled tarts into warm oven for 15 minutes.
  • Leave to cool slightly, unmold and serve tarts, warm.
