Cheese Bread

  • 3 cups [420 g] all-pupose flour
  • 4 teaspoons [20 mL] baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
  • 1 1/2 cups [340 g] grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] milk
  • 2 tablespoons [30 g] melted margarine or butter
  • Preheat oven to 400°F [200°C].
  • Into a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt and grated Cheddar cheese; mix well.
  • Stir in milk and melted margarine or butter, until smooth.
  • Transfer into a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch [23 x 13 x 7.5-cm] bread loaf pan.
  • Bake into preheated oven, for 35 to 40 minutes.
