Homemade Bread Dough [bread machine]

  • 9 3/4 ounces [278 mL] cold water
  • 1 tablespoon + 1 1/2 teaspoons [22.5 mL] skimmed milk powder
  • 1 tablespoon + 1 1/2 teaspoons [22.5 g] sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
  • 1 tablespoonful [15 g] margarine
  • 3 cups [420 g] all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons [3.5 g] yeast - for bread machines
  • It is better, yet not essential, to wait until water is at room temperature.
  • Mix together all ingredients, except yeast, into bread machine bowl.
  • Make a well in the center of the flour mixture; add yeast.
  • Select command for a medium-dark, dark or light bread, to taste.
