White Bread Dough [bread machine]

  • 2 teaspoons [10 mL] active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups [210 g] flour
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons [22.5 g] sugar
  • 1 tablespoon [15 g] butter or shortening
  • 1 cup [250 mL] lukewarm water
  • Mix together all ingredients, in the order given.
  • Bake into a bread machine, following manufacturer's instructions.
