- 1 [1-ounce / 28-g] unsweetened chocolate square, grossly chopped
- 3 tablespoons [45 g] sugar
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] instant coffee powder
- 4 cups [1 L] milk
- 4 marshmallows

- In a casserole, whip together chopped chocolate, sugar, cocoa powder, instant coffee powder and 1/4 cup [60 mL] milk.
- Heat, over medium-low heat, until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is smooth.
- Whip in remaining milk, a little at a time.
- Heat until smoking hot.
- Pour hot chocolate into 4 cups.
- Garnish each cup with 1 marshmallow.
- Serve immediately.
