Syrup
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] lemon, orange and lime rind pieces
- 1-inch [2.5-cm] fresh gingerroot, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup [100 g] sugar
- 2 cups [500 mL] water
- Fresly squeezed juice of 2 lemons
- Fresly squeezed juice of 2 oranges
- Fresly squeezed juice of 2 limes

- Into a saucepan, mix together lemon, orange and lime rind pieces, chopped gingerroot, sugar, and water.
- Boil for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Cool; refrigerate overnight.
- Remove rind pieces; pour in freshly squeezed lemon, orange and lime juices.
Lemonade
- For each serving, mix together 1/4 cup [60 mL] syrup and 3/4 cup [190 mL] ice cold water.
