Refreshing Lemonade

  • 6 oranges
  • 3 grapefruits
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 limes
  • 6 cups [1.5 L] cold water
  • 1 cup [200 g] sugar
  • 12 ice cubes [optional]
  • Peel and cut oranges, grapefruits, lemons and limes into small pieces, reserving rinds.
  • With your fingers, squeeze each pieces of fruit, reserving juice into a bowl.
  • Pour cold water and reserved juice into a jug; add sugar and shake.
  • Chop enough reserved rinds to get 1 cup [250 mL].
  • Mix rinds and, if desired, ice cubes into lemonade.
  • Cover jug; refrigerate for approximately 3 hours.
