Mint Punch

Comments: Serve into punch cups, garnished with mint leaves, if desired.

IngredientsPreparation
  • 1 cup [200 g] sugar
  • 4 cups [1 L] water
  • Approximately 20 fresh mint sprigs
  • 48 ounces [1.5 L] cold pineapple juice
  • 48 ounces [1.5 L] cold orange juice
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] cold lemon juice
  • 12 small bottles cold soft drink such as 7-Up or Ginger Ale
  • 2 trays ice cubes
  • Simmer together sugar, water and mint sprigs, for approximately 5 minutes.
  • Set aside for many hours or overnight, to let mint flavor sink in.
  • Just before serving, strain mint mixture into a punch bowl.
  • Add, stirring, cold pineapple juice, orange juice and lemon juice.
  • Slowly pour in soft drink.
  • Add ice cubes.
