- 1 1/4 cups [310 mL] cranberry cocktail juice
- 1 1/4 cups [310 mL] unsweetened apple juice
- 1/4 cup [60 mL] cider vinegar
- 1 cinnamon stick, into pieces
- 2 cloves
- 2 [1 x 2-inch / 2.5 x 5-cm each] strips lemon rind
- Ice cubes
- 2 cups [500 mL] seltzer water
- 4 thin orange slices [optional]

- Into a small glass casserole, mix together cranberry cocktail juice, apple juice, cider vinegar, cinnamon pieces, cloves and lemon rind strips.
- Bring to a boil, over medium heat.
- Lower heat; when mixture is just simmering, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and pour mixture through a sieve, into an 8-cup [2-L] jug.
- Fill 4 [12-ounce / 340-mL each] glasses with ice cubes.
- Evenly pour in fruit juice mixture; fill glasses with seltzer water.
- Stir and serve, each glass decorated with a thin slice of orange if desired.
