Lime Ginger Butter

Comments: Brush this seasoned butter over fish fillets; they will be juicy and taste great.
Hint:
If you do not have fresh herbs on hand, use 1/8 teaspoon [0.5 mL] dried herbs or 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] crushed herbs for each tablespoon [15 mL] fresh herbs asked for in a recipe.

  • 1/4 cup [60 g] butter, at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] freshly minced gingerroot
  • 2 teaspoons [10 mL] freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] grated lime rind
  • Salt, to taste
  • Cream butter.
  • Thoroughly mix in gingerroot, lime juice, lime rind and salt.
