Mustard Chive Butter

Comments: Brush this seasoned butter over fish fillets; they will be juicy and taste great.
Hint:
If you do not have fresh herbs on hand, use 1/8 teaspoon [0.5 mL] dried herbs or 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] crushed herbs for each tablespoon [15 mL] fresh herbs asked for in a recipe.

  • 1/4 cup [60 g] butter, at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] chopped chives
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] lemon juice
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Cream butter.
  • Thoroughly mix in Dijon mustard, chives, lemon juice and pepper.
