- Heat butter into a saucepan on medium-high heat until boiling.
- Turn down heat to medium-low and cook for several more minutes, stirring occassionally.
- Ghee will take on a weird plastic-like appearance at the top and smell like caramel.
- Strain ghee through cheesecloth and a fine strainer.
- Keep ghee into an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerated, but as it does not need to be refrigerated.
