Lemony Parslied Butter [Beurre Maitre d'Hotel]

Comments: Known as 'maitre d'hotel' butter, this butter is excellent to serve along with any grilled meat or fish, or with boiled or steamed vegetables.
Servings: 1/4 cup [60 g]

  • 1/4 cup [60 g] butter
  • 2 teaspoons [10 mL] freshly finely chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] lemon juice [freshly squeezed if possible]
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon [0.5 mL] white pepper
  • Into a small bowl, soften butter using a wooden spoon until creamy.
  • Well mix in freshly finely chopped parsley, fresh lemon juice, salt and white pepper.
  • Spread butter onto a small plate; cut butter into small squares, or circles.
  • Refrigerate butter for at least 45 minutes, before using.
