- 1/3 generous cup [75 g] soft margarine
- 1 1/4 cups [175 g] self-rising flour
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] light corn syrup
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup [60 mL] unsweetened cocoa powder
Fudge Sauce
- 3 1/2 ounces [100 g] dark chocolate
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] sweetened condensed milk
- 4 tablespoons [60 mL] heavy cream

- Lightly grease a deep 5-cup [1.25-L] pudding mold.
- Into a mixing bowl, beat together soft margarine, flour, corn syrup, eggs and unsweetened cocoa powder until well blended, to get a smooth dough.
- Pour dough into prepared mold, evenly flatten top of dough and cover dough with a disc parchement; pleat a sheet al foil large than the mold, cover mold and tie al foil all around mold.
- Steam pudding for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, until done, until centre of pudding bounces back when lighlty pressed with a finger.
- Towards the end of steaming time, to prepare fudge sauce, break-up dark chocolate into small pieces.
- Into a small casserole, mix together dark chocolate pieces and sweetened condensed milk.
- Heat mixture over low heat, stirring to completely melt chocolate pieces.
- Remove from heat, then stir in cream.
- Unmold done pudding onto a serving plate and pour a little for the fudge sauce over the pudding.
- Serve pudding, remaining fudge sauce into a sauceboat.
Micro-ondes
- Cuire le pouding à découvert à puissance élevée pendant 4 minutes, le retournant 1 fois.
- Le laisser en attente pendant 5 minutes, avant de le démouler.
- Pendant ce temps, pour préparer la sauce au fudge, briser le chocolat noir en petits morceaux.
- Les mélanger avec le lait concentré sucré, dans un bol allant au micro-ondes.
- Chauffer le mélange à puissance élevée pendant 1 minute, pour fondre le chocolat.
- Incorporer la crème, et servir.
