Brazilian Coffee

IngredientsPreparation
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] sugar [optional]
  • 3/4 ounce [22.5 mL] Cognac
  • 1/2 ounce [15 mL] Kahlua Liqueur
  • 3/4 ounce [22.5 mL] Grand Marnier
  • Really hot coffee
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] whipped cream
  • 2 stemmed glasses
  • 2 napkins
  • 2 saucers
  • 2 spoons
  • If desied, coat the rim of 2 stemmed glass with sugar; caramelize the sugar.
  • Evenly pour 2 1/4 ounces [11.25 mL] Cognac, 1/4 ounce [7.5 mL] Kahlua Liqueur and 2 1/4 ounces [11.25 mL] Grand Marnier into each glass; ignite.
  • Gently fill glasses with really hot coffee, up to 1 inch [2.5 cm] from the rim.
  • Top each with 1 tablespoon [15 mL] whipped cream.
  • Wrap a napkin around each glass.
  • Serve onto saucers, along with spoons.
