- 1 1/2 ounces [45 mL] Cognac
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] brown sugar
- 2 cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Orange rind
- Lemon rind
- 3/4 cup [190 mL] coffee
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] Cointreau [optional]

- Mix together Cognac, brown sugar, cloves, cinnamon stick, orange rind and lemon rind into a small saucepan.
- Heat over low heat for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Stir in coffee.
- Filter mixture into a coffee cup.
- Stir in Cointreau and serve.
