- 1 slice lemon
- Sugar
- 3/4 ounce [22.5 mL] Cognac
- 3/4 ounce [22.5 mL] Tia Maria
or 1/2 ounce [15 mL] Kahlua Liqueur
- Really strong hot coffee
- Lemon
- 2 spoonfuls or more whipped cream
- 1 stemmed glass
- 1 napkin
- 1 small spoon

- Rub a slice of lemon all around the side of the glass; dip glass into sugar.
- Caramelise to frost, using a burner.
- Pour Cognac into the glass; flambe, rotating the glass to keep the flame going.
- Slowly pour in Tia Maria or Kahlua.
- Fill glass with hot coffee, up to 1 inch [2.5 cm] from the rim.
- Top with whipped cream, to taste.
- Wrap the glass into a napkin and serve, along with a small spoon.
