Cappuccino

  • 6 tablespoons [90 mL] espresso coffee powder
  • 3 cups [750 mL] water
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] evaporated skim milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] vanilla
  • Cinnamon or cocoa powder
  • Spoon coffee powder into coffee maker filter.
  • Into a small saucepan, over medium-high heat, bring water to a boil.
  • Pour boiling water over coffee; leave to drip for 5 minutes.
  • Into the same saucepan, over medium heat, heat milk for 2 minutes, uncovered.
  • Do not boil.
  • Whip together milk and vanilla for 1 minute at high speed, using an electric mixer or a blender.
  • When ready, pour coffee into 4 individual cups; pour in foamy milk.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon or cocoa powder.
