- 1/2 cup [125 mL] maple syrup
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] dark Rum
- 4 cups [1 L] really hot strong coffee
- Maple or brown sugar
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] whipping cream [35% m.s.g.]
- Grated semi-sweet chocolate

- Into a small saucepan, bring maple syrup to a boil; boil for 3 minutes.
- Away from heat, pour in dark Rum.
- Stir before pouring in hot coffee.
- Into a bowl, whip together maple or brown sugar and whipping cream.
- Pour coffee into individual cups.
- Garnish with whipped cream and serve, sprinkled with grated chocolate.
