  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] dark Rum
  • 4 cups [1 L] really hot strong coffee
  • Maple or brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] whipping cream [35% m.s.g.]
  • Grated semi-sweet chocolate
  • Into a small saucepan, bring maple syrup to a boil; boil for 3 minutes.
  • Away from heat, pour in dark Rum.
  • Stir before pouring in hot coffee.
  • Into a bowl, whip together maple or brown sugar and whipping cream.
  • Pour coffee into individual cups.
  • Garnish with whipped cream and serve, sprinkled with grated chocolate.
