Tunisian-Style Mint Tea

  • 3 teaspoons [15 mL] gunpowder green tea
  • A little more than 2 cups [500 mL] water
  • 1 handful freshly crushed mint
  • 8 sugar cubes
  • Spoon green tea into a teapot.
  • Pour in 1 cup [250 mL] boiling water, then stir.
  • Add freshly crushed mint and sugar cubes; pour in remaining boiling water.
  • Immediately fill a glass with tea, then pour tea back into teapot.
  • Repeat 6 to 7 times before serving, into glasses.
