- 1 teaspoon [5 g] unsalted butter
- 5 to 6 ounces [156 to 190 mL] really hot freshly brewed Jamaican coffee
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] brown sugar
- 1 clove
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] dark Rum
- 1/8 teaspoon [0.5 mL] freshly grated nutmeg

- Spoon butter into an Irish coffee glass or a mug.
- Pour in boililng coffee.
- Stir in brown sugar, until completely melted.
- Then add clove and dark Rum.
- Sprinkle coffee with freshly grated nutmeg, and serve.
