Hot Buttery Coffee

  • 1 teaspoon [5 g] unsalted butter
  • 5 to 6 ounces [156 to 190 mL] really hot freshly brewed Jamaican coffee
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] brown sugar
  • 1 clove
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] dark Rum
  • 1/8 teaspoon [0.5 mL] freshly grated nutmeg
  • Spoon butter into an Irish coffee glass or a mug.
  • Pour in boililng coffee.
  • Stir in brown sugar, until completely melted.
  • Then add clove and dark Rum.
  • Sprinkle coffee with freshly grated nutmeg, and serve.
