Rainbow Cookie Bars

Comments: For Halloween, use those special orange and black coated chocolate candies.
Servings: 24 cookie bars
  • 1/2 cup [115 g] butter
  • 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 [10 1/2-ounce / 300-mL] can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/3 cups [330 mL] flaked coconut
  • 1 cup [250 mL] chopped nuts
  • 1 cup [250 mL] coated chocolate candies
  • Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
  • Melt butter into a 13 x 9-inch [33 x 23-cm] baking pan.
  • Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over butter; mix and press into pan.
  • Evenly pour sweetened condensed milk over crumbs.
  • Sprinkle with coconut flakes, chopped nuts and candy coated chocolate candies; press down firmly.
  • Bake into preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until lightly browned.
  • Cool completely before storing.
  • Store, loosely covered, at room temperature.
