- 3/4 cup [190 mL] light peanut butter
- 1/4 cup [60 mL] soft margarine
- 3/4 cup [190 mL] packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup [190 mL] 100% bran cereals
- 3/4 cup [105 g] all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] baking soda

- Cream together peanut butter, margarine and brown sugar until smooth.
- Blend in egg.
- Grind bran cereals into a food processor or a blender for 20 to 30 seconds.
- Stir in flour and baking soda.
- Stir dry ingredients into peanut butter mixture.
- Shape dough into 1-inch [2.5-cm] balls.
- Arrange onto ungreased cookie sheets; flatten slightly with a fork.
- Bake into a preheated 375°F [190°C] oven for 9 minutes.
- Cool on rack.
