Peanut Butter Slices

Comments: Bars can be frozen, well wrapped, for up to 2 months.
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] liquid honey
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] brown sugar
  • 1 cup [250 mL] peanut butter [crunchy or smooth]
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla
  • 4 cups [1 L] corn flakes cereals
  • Into a large saucepan, combine honey and brown sugar.
  • Cook, stirring over medium heat, until boiling.
  • Add peanut butter.
  • Cook, stirring over medium heat, for 7 to 8 minutes, until melted.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Stir in vanilla.
  • Add corn flakes.
  • Stir until well combined.
  • Spoon mixture into a greased 8-inch [20-cm] square baking pan.
  • Pat down evenly.
  • Chill until until set, before cutting into bars.
