Honey Chippers

  • 1/2 cup [115 g] butter
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups [175 g] sifted flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] vanilla
  • 1 cup [250 mL] chocolate pieces
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] chopped pecans
  • Cream together butter and honey; add egg and beat well.
  • Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamy mixture.
  • Blend well.
  • Add vanilla, chocolate pieces and chopped pecans; mix well.
  • Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls [5 mL] onto a greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake into a preheated 375°F [190°C] oven, for 12 to 15 minutes.
