- 1/2 cup [115 g] butter
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] honey
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 cups [175 g] sifted flour
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] vanilla
- 1 cup [250 mL] chocolate pieces
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] chopped pecans

- Cream together butter and honey; add egg and beat well.
- Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamy mixture.
- Blend well.
- Add vanilla, chocolate pieces and chopped pecans; mix well.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls [5 mL] onto a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake into a preheated 375°F [190°C] oven, for 12 to 15 minutes.
