- 1/2 cup [115 g] softened butter
- 6 tablespoons [90 g] sugar
- 6 tablespoons [90 mL] brown sugar
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] vanilla
- 1 cup + 2 tablespoons [157.5 g] all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] chopped nuts
- 6 ounces [170 g] chocolate chips

- Preheat oven to 375 to 400°F [190 to 200°C].
- Cream together softened butter, sugar and brown sugar.
- Well mix in beaten egg and vanilla.
- Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
- Mix dry ingredients into creamy mixture.
- Stir in chopped nuts and chocolate chips.
- Arrange spoonfuls of mixture, apart onto a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake into preheated oven, for 12 to 15 minutes.
