Crunchy Chocolate Cookies
Servings: 36 cookies
  • 1/2 cup [115 g] softened butter
  • 6 tablespoons [90 g] sugar
  • 6 tablespoons [90 mL] brown sugar
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] vanilla
  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons [157.5 g] all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] chopped nuts
  • 6 ounces [170 g] chocolate chips
  • Preheat oven to 375 to 400°F [190 to 200°C].
  • Cream together softened butter, sugar and brown sugar.
  • Well mix in beaten egg and vanilla.
  • Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Mix dry ingredients into creamy mixture.
  • Stir in chopped nuts and chocolate chips.
  • Arrange spoonfuls of mixture, apart onto a greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake into preheated oven, for 12 to 15 minutes.
