Milk Sugar Cookies
Servings: 18 [4-inch / 10-cm] cookies
  • 1 1/2 cups [210 g] all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons [12.5 mL] baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] baking soda
  • 3 tablespoons [45 g] sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon [3.75 mL] salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2/3 cup [160 mL] milk
  • 3 tablespoons [45 mL] melted shortening
  • Preheat oven to 375 to 400°F [190 to 200°C].
  • Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt.
  • Well beat together beaten eggs, milk and melted shortening.
  • Well mix dry ingredients into eggs mixture.
  • Spoon dough into 18 mounds, apart from each other, onto a cookie sheet.
  • Bake into preheated oven, for approximately 1 minute on each side.
