- 1/2 cup [115 g] butter
- 2 tablespoons [30 g] extra fine sugar
- 1 cup [140 g] flour
- 1 cup [250 mL] chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla
- Exra fine sugar

- Preheat oven to 300°F [150°C].
- Cream together butter and sugar, until light.
- Stir in flour, chopped pecans and vanilla.
- Shape dough into 1-inch [2.5-cm] balls.
- Arrange balls onto greased cookie sheets; lightly flatten dough balls.
- Bake cookies into preheated oven, for 25 to 30 minutes [keep oven hot].
- Dip each hot cookie into extra fine sugar.
- Leave to cool completely, onto cookie sheets; dip cookies once more into extra fine sugar.
- Bake cookies once more into preheated oven, until just golden.
