- 1/4 cup [60 mL] apple butter or any other fat
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] molasses
- 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] whole wheat pastry flour
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] ground clove

- Preheat oven to 375°F [190°C].
- Well mix together all ingredients.
- Shape mixture into 24 [1-inch / 2.5-cm] each balls.
- Arrange apart from each other onto a lightly sprayed cookie sheet.
- Moisten the bottom of a glass and flatten each dough ball.
- Bake into preheated oven, for 12 to to 15 minutes.
- Leave to cool completely, on cookie sheet.
