Molasses Gingersnaps

IngredientsPreparation
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] apple butter or any other fat
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] molasses
  • 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] whole wheat pastry flour
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] ground clove
  • Preheat oven to 375°F [190°C].
  • Well mix together all ingredients.
  • Shape mixture into 24 [1-inch / 2.5-cm] each balls.
  • Arrange apart from each other onto a lightly sprayed cookie sheet.
  • Moisten the bottom of a glass and flatten each dough ball.
  • Bake into preheated oven, for 12 to to 15 minutes.
  • Leave to cool completely, on cookie sheet.
