- 1 cup [250 mL] packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup [150 g] sugar
- 1 cup [225 g] softened butter
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] water
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] almond extract
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups [420 g] flour
- 2 cups [500 mL] rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] cinnamon
- 2 cups [500 mL] strawberry dices or berries

- Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
- Into a large bowl, beat together brown sugar, sugar and butter until creamy.
- Well beat in water, almond extract and eggs.
- Mix together flour, rolled oats, baking soda, salt and cinnamon
- Add to first mixture stirring until well blended.
- Delicately fold in strawberry dices or berries.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough apart onto a greased or already lined with parchment cookie sheet.
- Bake cookies into preheated oven for approximately 12 minutes, until golden.
- Leave to cool slightly then transfer onto wire racks to cool completely.
