Peanut Butter Cookies

  • 3 cups [420 g] flour
  • 2 teaspoons [10 mL] baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] salt
  • 1 cup [225 g] shortening
  • 1 cup [200 g] sugar
  • 1 cup [250 mL] brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup [250 mL] peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla
  • Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
  • Well mix together flour, baking soda and salt.
  • Mix in shortening, then sugar, brown sugar, eggs, peanuts butter and vanilla until well-blended
  • Shape dough into balls and arrange onto a greased baking sheets.
  • Use a fork to flatten the balls out and criss-cross design on the top.
  • Bake into preheated oven for approximately 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown.
