- 3 cups [420 g] flour
- 2 teaspoons [10 mL] baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] salt
- 1 cup [225 g] shortening
- 1 cup [200 g] sugar
- 1 cup [250 mL] brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup [250 mL] peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla

- Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
- Well mix together flour, baking soda and salt.
- Mix in shortening, then sugar, brown sugar, eggs, peanuts butter and vanilla until well-blended
- Shape dough into balls and arrange onto a greased baking sheets.
- Use a fork to flatten the balls out and criss-cross design on the top.
- Bake into preheated oven for approximately 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown.
