- 1 cup [225 g] butter
- 1/4 cup [60 mL] honey
- 2 cups [280 g] sifted flour
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
- 2 teaspoons [10 mL] vanilla extract
- 2 cups [500 mL] finely chopped pecans
- Icing sugar

- Preheat oven to 300°F [150°C].
- Cream butter; slowly beat in honey, until well beaten.
- Stir in sifted flour, salt and vanilla, until well mixed.
- Mix in finely chopped pecans.
- Shape mixture into 72 small balls.
- Arrange dough balls onto a greased baking sheet.
- Bake into preheated oven, for 40 to 45 minutes.
- Roll still hot balls into icing sugar; arrange onto wire racks.
- Leave to cool completely.
- Roll balls once more in icing sugar, until completely coated.
