- 1 1/4 cups [285 g] butter
- 1 1/2 cups [300 g] sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups [350 g] all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] baking powder
- 2/3 cup [160 mL] cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] chopped nuts

- Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
- Cream butter.
- Cream in sugar and eggs.
- Combine flour, baking powder and cocoa powder; add to creamy mixture.
- Fold in chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
- Spoon dough, 1 teaspoonful [5 mL] at a time, apart onto a lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Bake into preheated oven, for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Transfer onto wire racks; leave to cool completely.
