- 2 large egg whites
- 1/2 cup [100 g] sugar
- 6 tablespoons [90 g] butter, melted
- Few drops vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup + 1 3/4 teaspoons [75 g] all-purpose flour

- Preheat oven to 375°F [190°C].
- Grease and flour 2 baking sheets.
- Shake-off excess flour.
- Into a bowl, beat together egg whites and sugar, until smooth.
- Mix in melted butter and vanilla extract.
- Fold in flour.
- Drop mixture, 1 teaspoon [5 mL] at a time, apart onto a baking sheets.
- Using a knife, flatten dough into a 4-inch [ 10-cm] thin even circle.
- Do not shpae more than 2 or 3 cookies at a time, as circles must be rolled as soon as possible, while still hot [it is quite difficult to shape more].
- Bake these cookies into preheated oven for 5 to 6 minutes, until golden.
- Using a spatula, remove cookies from baking sheet.
- Immediately roll cookies around the round handle of a wooden spoon, to shape cookies into cigarettes.
- Leave cookies to cool completely onto a wire rack, until crunchy.
- Repeat with remaining dough.
