- 2 cups [500 mL] softened butter
- 1 cup [250 mL] icing sugar
- 3 1/2 cups [875 mL] all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] cornstarch
- 6 [1-ounce / 28-g each] squares bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
- 1 cup [250 mL] toasted and coarsely chopped pecans

- Beat together softened butter and icing sugar, until light and fluffy.
- Stir in flour and cornstarch; then stir in chopped chocolate and pecans.
- Shape dough into 1-inch [2.5-cm] balls; transfer onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake into a preheated 350°F [180°C] oven for 20 minutes, until lightly browned; cool.
- Dust lightly with icing sugar.
- Store into airtight container.
