- 1 1/4 cups [175 g] flour
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] baking soda
- 1 cup [225 g] butter, softened
- 1/4 cup [60 g] sugar
- 3/4 cup [190 mL] well-packed golden brown sugar
- 1 [3 1/2-ounce / 100-g] pack instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups [750 mL] fast-cooking rolled oats
- 1 cup [250 mL] raisins [optional]

- Preheat oven to 375°F [190°C].
- Into a small bowl, mix together flour and baking soda.
- Into a large bowl, beat together softened butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla pudding mix until smooth and creamy.
- Beat in eggs before slowly mixing in flour mixture.
- Mix in rolled oats and, if desired, raisins.
- Drop dough, 1 teaspoonful [5 mL] at a time apart onto already greased cookie sheets.
- Bake into preheated oven, for 10 to 12 minutes.
