- 1/2 pound [227 g] flour
- 7 ounces [200 g] caster sugar
- 3 1/2 ounces [105 g] butter, softened
- 1/2 pack yeast
- 1 pack vanilla sugar
- 3 Granny Smith apples, peeled and grated

- Arrange flour, caster sugar, softened butter yeast and vanilla sugar into a large bowl.
- With your hands, mix together all ingredients, until of sand-like texture.
- Grease and flour a pie plate.
- Sprinkle pie plate with half of flour mixture.
- Top with grated apples, then with remaining flour mixture.
- Bake into a preheated 400°F [200°C] oven, for 30 minutes.
