- 3 large apples, cored, peeled and quartered
- 3 large egg whites
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup [250 mL] sugar
- Butter

- Arrange apple pieces into a small buttered mold.
- Beat together egg whites and salt, until really stiff.
- Beat in sugar.
- Evenly spoon mixture over apple pieces; dot with a little butter.
- Bake into a preheated 300°F [150°C] oven, until crisp all the way through.
